Carrie Underwood will take part in the 2012 City of Hope Celebrity Softball. The entire lineup was announced earlier this week and will also feature Scotty McCreery, Brantley Gilbert, Lauren Alaina, David Nail and others.
The 22nd annual edition of the game will take place on Saturday, June 9 at 9 a.m. at Nashville's Greer Stadium during the 2012 CMA Music Festival. The competing teams will be the Grand Ole Opry versus AfterMidnite. As usual the game will be emceed by GAC television's Storme Warren.
The 2011 game raised nearly $200,000 with more than 5,000 attendees. The Celebrity Softball Challenge is dedicated to supporting the City of Hope's life-saving mission and has raised nearly $2 million dollars helping to find cures and better treatments for cancer and other devastating diseases.
