George Clooney and Barack Obama raised nearly $15 million for Obama's re-election campaign at a fundraiser held by the celebrity on Thursday night.
The fundraiser took place under a tent on the basketball court in the backyard of Clooney's Los Angeles abode. DreamWorks Animation chief Jeffrey Katzenberg hosted the party, while Wolfgang Puck served up the cuisine.
Those attending the event paid $40,000 each for their invitations to the exclusive party.
Some of the notable guests in attendance included Robert Downey Jr., Diane Von Furstenberg, Trina Turk, Barbra Streisand, James Brolin, Tobey Maguire, Billy Crystal, Jack Black, Salma Hayek, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Rep. Howard L. Berman, D-Calif.
