Chris Brown released to the web two freestyle raps: one is over the beat of Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music single "Mercy," while another is placed over the Hit-Boy produced "Theraflu" a.k.a. "Way to Cold."
Breezy's forthcoming album features more rapping by the artist, who is known mostly for his syrupy soul work; the freestyle releases, no doubt, are contrived to hype his skills on the mic.
Last month Brown pushed the release of his forthcoming album Fortune back to July 3. The album, which follows his 2011 release F.A.M.E., was previously scheduled for release in May.
Brown broke the news to fans via Twitter:
"Team Breezy! The official album date for FORTUNE is July 3,2012!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Later the date for the album was moved back up and has at least temporarily settled on June 29.
