Medgenics Q1 Loss Widens - Quick Facts

Medgenics Inc. (MDGN) posted first-quarter net loss of $2.71 million or $0.28 per share, wider than $0.34 million or $0.06 per share in the previous year period.

General and administrative expense for the first quarter increased to $1.36 million from $0.78 million in the comparable quarter last year, primarily due to higher legal and professional services fees and to increased activities in the U.S. as part of forthcoming clinical trials.

Murphy was found dead on the fourth-floor terrace of the Sofitel New York Hotel after he jumped from a window on the 24th floor.
