Paul McCartney has been asked by the widow of George Harrison, Olivia, for help in completing an unfinished track by the late Beatle.
"I had an idea of giving unfinished songs to different people - giving one to Paul, maybe, or giving one to somebody else and saying: 'Here are the bones of a song, would you like to finished it?' I think that would be a nice idea," Olivia said in an interview with Spinner.
Olivia recently spent months digging through her husband's archives in prep for the to be released compilation Early Takes, Vol. 1.
Despite the archives being "a massive mess," as Harrison's widow described them to Spinner.com, the two waded through the tapes at their disposal.
"We would sit in Friar Park [Harrison's estate] and go through tapes and run-throughs. We would filter things based on whether they showed George off, finding the right sort of sound for various things."
Macca has not yet commented on the offer.
