My Chemical Romance guitarist Frank Iero has confirmed that the band is likely to commence recording on a new album next month. During an interview with The Aquarian, Iero said the band has written most of the songs for the album and is thrilled to put them down on tape.
"It's going really well, actually. I'm really excited. I can't wait to start tracking. I think we're maybe a month away from the record button lighting up," he said of pre-production for the album.
Iero also noted that the band's new drummer Jarrod Alexander will also join them in the studio.
"Jarrod is a rad guy and a fantastic playerm" he said. "It's been really fun making music with him these past few months. He loves coffee and hitting drums super-hard."
It will be the band's first new release since 2010's Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys.
