A man close to Whitney Houston at the time of her death has reportedly filed a cease and desist notice against several media outlets that claim he furnished the singer with cocaine. Raffles van Exel, who describes himself as a "private consultant to the stars," has denied claims that he contributed to the singer's death.
Various sources have linked van Exel with Houston in the days before her death and some accused him of providing drugs for her. Another source allegedly claimed that he snapped a photo of the singer in her coffin and sold it to tabloids. Van Exel denies all claims, however, and is demanding a full retraction of the statements.
In an official statement he says that he is "neither the architect nor the culprit of the sudden demise of Whitney Houston." Van Exel was also linked with Michael Jackson and guitarist George Benson.
