The Black Keys will soon become the stars of a new rock documentary by filmmaker Noah Abrams. According to audioinkradio.com, Abrams is close friends with Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney and has earned unprecedented access to the duo.
Speaking with the site, Abrams said he thinks of the film as "a buddy comedy with perhaps the greatest soundtrack of all time."
He adds that his documentary will take a fresh approach:
"A lot of music documentaries spend too much time trying to make people look cool. I'm fortunate enough to know both these guys pretty well and their relationship is pretty incredible and very funny."
Abrams also revealed that he began filming the band at the beginning of 2012 and will continue through August with an eye to releasing the picture next year.
