Zumiez Inc. (ZUMZ: Quote) reported first quarter net income of $0.14 per share after the bell Thursday, up from $0.06 per share in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.11. Second quarter EPS is expected to be between $0.04 and $0.06, which is below the consensus estimate of $0.10.
Zumiez declined during the first half of the morning Friday, but was range-bound for the remainder of the session. The stock closed down by 2.57 at $32.59, with volume at over a 4-month high. Zumiez finished at over a 2-month low.
