An earthquake measuring 6 hit northern Italy early Sunday, killing at least three people, reports said. The powerful tremor also knocked down a church bell in St. Agostino.
Two people died in a ceramic factory in Sant'Agostino di Ferrara. A workshed collapsed in Ponte Rodoni di Bondeno, killing another person.
Extend of the damage is yet to be assessed as rescue workers are yet to reach villages flung in the mountaneous region.
