Swiss M3 Money Supply Growth Slows In April

Switzerland's broad money supply expanded at a slower pace in April, data released by the Swiss National Bank showed Monday.

The M3, or broad money supply increased 6.3 percent on an annual basis in April, slower than the 6.6 percent growth seen in March. In February, the money supply rose 6.4 percent year-on-year.

At the same time, the intermediate money supply, or M2 advanced at a slower pace of 8.4 percent in April than 8.9 percent in March. The narrow money supply, or M1 rose 9.5 percent year-on-year during the month, after growing 10.4 percent in the previous month, data showed.
