John Legend and Jordin Sparks both took the stage at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards to pay tribute to Whitney Houston.
Legend gave a rendition of "The Greatest Love of All," in a performance which brought several audience members to tears.
Sparks, following Legend, performed "I Will Always Love You," in a performance which visibly moved Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina. The audience showed their approval of the performance with a standing ovation.
Meanwhile, Whoopi Goldberg presented the Millennium Award to Bobbi and her sister-in-law, Pat, on behalf of Houston.
"I just really want to say thank you to everyone who supported us through it all — not just when it was good, but when it was bad too," an emotional Bobbi Kristina said on stage, following the musical tribute to her mother.
