Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks' duet, "Celebrate," from the upcoming film Sparkle has debuted. Both singers star in the movie, in which Houston plays the mother of Sparks.
Sparks' character Sparkle is one of three Williams' sisters, a trio of church choir members who become a wildly successful pop act.
Their sudden rise unravels their personal lives, and the youngest sister, Sparkle, struggles to become a star while overcoming the issues that are tearing her family apart.
Derek Luke, Mike Epps, Cee-Lo Green, Carmen Ejogo, Tika Sumpter and Omari Hardwick co-star.
R. Kelly produced the Sparkle soundtrack and added new tracks to augment the original song score from the 1976 film by Curtis Mayfield. The film hits theaters on August 17.
