Knight Transportation, Inc. (KNX) said Monday that it has appointed Adam Miller as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.
Miller brings substantial breadth and depth of experience in the company's business to his expanded role as CFO. Her was Controller of Knight Refrigerated, LLC during its most rapid growth phase, including the acquisitions of Edwards Brothers and Roads West. For the past 15 months, Miller has served as Senior Vice President of Accounting and Finance, Secretary and Treasurer, and has overseen all of the company's financial reporting, accounting, and treasury functions.
"With growth opportunities accelerating across many of our business units, we believe this is an opportune time for Miller to officially assume the CFO role and title and permit Mr. Dave Jackson to concentrate on our growth initiatives," the company said in a statement.
The company also said that Richard Kraemer has been elected as Director to its Board of Directors. Kraemer is President of Chartwell Capital Inc., a private investment company.
Additionally, Knight Transportation declared its quarterly cash dividend of $0.06 per share of common stock, payable on June 2 to shareholders of record on June 1.
