Earnings Watch For May 22 (BBY, DELL, GES, MDT)

Consumer electronics retailer Best Buy Co. Inc. (BBY) is due to report results for the first quarter. The company is anticipated to record revenues of $50.18 billion for the quarter. The company's shares closed Monday's trade at $18.17. (The stock up about 1% in Q1; MA(50)- $22.62; MA(100)- $23.68; 52-wk H/L $32.85/$17.53)

Dell Inc. (DELL) will report its quarterly results today. The PC maker is expected to report earnings of $0.46 per share on revenues of $14.91 billion for the first quarter. In the same quarter a year earlier, the company earned $0.55 per share on revenues of $15.02 billion. The stock closed Monday at $14.97. (The stock rose almost 13% in Q1; MA(50)- $16.29; MA(100)- $16.57; 52-wk H/L $18.36/$13.29)

International fashion house Guess' Inc. (GES) is slated to report first-quarter results. The company is expected to report earnings of $0.26 per share compared to $0.46 per share a year ago. Besides, the company is anticipated to generate revenues of $569.85 million versus last year's $592.24 million. On Monday, the shares closed regular trade at $24.47. (The stock gained nearly 5% in Q1; MA(50)- $29.89; MA(100)- $30.99; 52-wk H/L $45.73/$24.26)

Medtronic, Inc. (MDT) is scheduled to post fourth-quarter results. Minneapolis, Minnesota-headquartered company is expected to earn $0.98 per share compared to $0.90 per share last year, with revenues estimated at $4.23 billion. MDT closed Monday's session at $37.70. (The stock up about 3% in Q4; MA(50)- $38.29; MA(100)- $38.63; 52-wk H/L $41.05/$30.18)

Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI), AutoZone Inc. (AZO), Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. (CBRL), PetSmart, Inc. (PETM) and Ralph Lauren Corp. (RL) are also expected to report their results today.
