Reports have surfaced that Green Day performed over the weekend at the wedding of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan.
Video footage, which TMZ.com broke, appears to confirm Billie Joe Armstrong speaking briefly before launching into the group's track "Last Night on Earth":
"Mark wanted me to play this song," the voice said. "This song is one that I wrote for my wife of 18 years — it better be for her, or I'd be in deep trouble. This song is called 'Last Night on Earth.'"
NME reported that Green Day's spokesman would not confirm that the band played at the wedding.
Zuckerberg and Chan dated for nine years before tying the knot.
Green Day is currently working on new albums ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tré!, which are due towards the end of this year.
