In a post on Black Sabbath's official website, Tony Iommi, in keeping a record of the group's summer gigs, has admitted to a case of nerves before the band's first show:

"I was extremely nervous beforehand about playing a long set, not knowing whether I'd be able to last. It turned out to be no problem whatsoever because Ozzy, Geezer and Tommy were nailing everything, no chance to feel tired!"

"I'm really pleased with how it turned out, fantastic crowd and I want to say thank you to all of them for giving me such an amazing reception," added the guitarist.

The concert, a fundraising show at Birmingham's O2 Arena, was a success. Their next show takes place at the Download Festival in Derby, England on June 10.
