Larsen & Toubro Ltd. Thursday inaugurated India's first rail construction training centre in Kanchipuram near Chennai, aimed to augment the competency of construction workforce involved in rail construction jobs, reports said.
It will also develop a talent pool of skilled workmen capable of delivering global standards in rail construction.
The training centre was inaugurated by Member, Engineering, Railway Board A.P. Mishra.
The training centre can impart on-site training to nearly 300 technicians and 180 middle level managers/engineers in a year.
