Finnish Output Price Inflation Stable In April

Finland's producer price inflation remained unchanged in April, after weakening in the previous month, data released by Statistics Finland showed Thursday.

The producer price index increased 1.4 percent on an annual basis in April, unchanged from the growth seen in March. In February, the inflation rate was 2.2 percent.

Output prices of goods sold in the domestic market grew 2.2 percent annually, while export market prices moved up 0.5 percent.

On a monthly basis, output prices decreased 0.1 percent in April, reversing the previous month's 0.4 percent increase, data showed.

At the same time, Finland's export price index rose 0.5 percent annually in April, while month-on-month they decreased 0.2 percent. Import prices were higher by 2 percent during the month compared to last year. Month-on-month, the import price index edged down 0.5 percent.
