Residential property prices in Ireland decreased at a slightly faster rate in April, data released by the Central Statistics Office showed Thursday.
The residential property price index decreased 16.4 percent on an annual basis in April, slightly faster than the 16.3 percent fall seen in March. In February, prices decreased 17.8 percent. Prices have been falling regularly since January 2008, the agency said.
Prices of houses fell 16.2 percent year-on-year in April, unchanged from the rate of fall seen in the previous month, while apartment prices deceased at a slower pace of 17.9 percent than March's 20.3 percent.
On a monthly basis, overall residential property prices dropped 1.1 percent in April, after remaining flat in the previous month.
