Business confidence in Belgium declined for the third consecutive month in May, survey data from the National Bank of Belgium showed Thursday.
The business confidence indicator dropped to -11.2 from April's -10.7. Economists had forecast a score of -11.
The decline in May is to be attributed exclusively to a marked deterioration of the business climate in the building industry, mainly due to a lower utilization of the equipment and to a drop in orders received, the survey said.
