Rockers Muse carried the Olympic torch as it passed through their hometown on the way to London in preparation for the upcoming 2012 Summer Games. The trio carried the iconic flame through their hometown of Teignmouth in the rural area of Devon.
The group was guided by a team of 121 Olympic representatives and cheered on by a crowd of 7,000 onlookers. The crowd would likely have been much larger if they had not been restricted by police.
The band is currently in the studio recording their new release in London. The album will follow 2009's Resistance and they say fans can expect something "radically different."
Meanwhile in the city of Taunton Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am carried the torch.
