Siemens Awarded $73 Mln Light Rail Vehicle Contract From TriMet - Quick Facts

Siemens AG (SI: Quote) said Thursday it has been awarded a $73 million contract to build 18 of its S70 light rail vehicles for TriMet in Portland, Oregon.

Siemens said the vehicles will be manufactured its rail vehicle manufacturing plant in Sacramento, California. The first new rail cars are expected to be delivered in August 2014.

The 18 vehicles were ordered as a part of the Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Transit Project, Siemens said.

The poll showed that 54 percent of Americans are following the news that the IRS targeted conservative groups for greater scrutiny "very" or "somewhat" closely.
