Franck's Pharmacy said it is recalling all sterile human and veterinary prescriptions distributed by it from November 21, 2011 to May 21, 2012.
According to the company, the recall is being initiated after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration informed that environmental sampling of its clean room revealed the presence of microorganisms and fungal growth.
The company has advised consumers who may be in possession of the aforesaid prescriptions to destroy them. It also said physicians should be advised to review and evaluate patient records to determine if any adverse events may have resulted from use of the recalled products.
