The eurocoin indicator fell marginally in May, marking the second decline in a row, data released by Bank of Italy and the Centre for Economic Policy Research showed Friday.
The indicator dropped to -0.13 percent in May, the weakest level since January, from -0.08 percent in April.
The decline reflects the performance of share prices and the deterioration in some indicators derived from business surveys, the report said.
The indicator provides a summary index of the current economic situation in the euro area.
