Dollar Mixed Ahead Of U.S. Consumer Sentiment Index

The Reuters and the University of Michigan's final report on the consumer sentiment index for May is scheduled to be released at 9:55 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the greenback showed mixed trading against its major counterparts. While the dollar declined against the yen, it was higher against the euro. Against the franc and the pound, the dollar pared gains slightly.

At 9:50 am ET, the greenback traded at 79.55 against the yen, 0.9585 against the franc, 1.2535 against the euro and 1.5683 against the pound.
