Elijah Wood will star as a villainous computer program named Sigma in the 10th season of webseries "Red vs. Blue." Wood, who is friends with the show's co-director Bernie Burns, was originally only supposed to do a cameo, but his involvement evolved into a much larger role.
"After meeting the folks at Rooster Teeth a couple years ago, I was pleased to be asked to provide a voice for Red vs Blue. The character of Sigma, shifty and deceptive, was fun to bring to life," said the "Lord of the Rings" star according to vgrevolution.com.
A teaser for the new season is available on the web, which features Wood's character appearing at the end as a sinister villain who has digital flames engulfing his entire figure.
The 10th season of "Red vs. Blue" will premiere exclusively on the Rooster Teeth website on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28.
