Florence and the Machine will headline the Friday night portion of Bestival. Bestival founder Rob Da Bank says he has long been a fan of the U.K. singer.
"The first time I met Flo, she was whirling around like a spinning top to a Paul Simon track at a party I was DJing at," said Rob. "I hadn't even heard her open her mouth, but she had this alluring vibe already."
Florence's past performances at Bestival were so good says Rob that they have culminated in this year's headlining spot.
"Her shows for us at Bestival and Camp Bestival over the last few years have always been highlights for many, and I'm glad we can finally seal the deal with a headline show on the Friday of Bestival."
Florence joins previously announced headliners New Order and Stevie Wonder at the U.K. festival.
