Craig Morgan is moving from the stage to the screen as Country Weekly confirms he will appear on an episode of TBS' Rizzoli & Isles television show.
"Oh, I'm gonna be on the show," Craig told The Boot. "I'm a police officer, so it's a no-brainer! I can play a law enforcement officer from the South . . . We still have to talk to the writers and producers and everything but, we're pretty sure!"
Morgan will play Dr. Bill Ray Higgins, a medical examiner who helps Angie Harmon's character, Jane Rizzoli and her partner, Maura Isles (played by Sasha Alexander), solve a crime.
While no specific date has been announced for his appearance on Rizzoli & Isles, the episode will air sometime in July. Rizzoli & Isles airs on Tuesdays at 9:00 PM ET, beginning on June 5.
