Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was hospitalized for injuries sustained in a celebrity soccer match in Manchester, U.K., over the weekend. Ramsay was removed from the field on a stretcher and admitted into an area hospital following a slide tackle from former pro soccer player Teddy Sheringham.
Ramsay expects to a make a full recovery and reached out to fans and friends over the weekend via Twitter, thanking them for their well wishes:
"Thx 4 all the messages. Out of hospital after receiving amazing care from medics at ground & hospital. Bit sore but fine."
Ramsay was not, however, the only celeb sidelined during the match. Will Ferrell also say out most of the contest due to a leg injury.
