South Korea saw a current account surplus of $1.78 billion in April, the Bank of Korea said on Wednesday, following the $3.04 billion surplus in March.

The goods account surplus narrowed to $1.8 billion from $2.93 billion in the previous month due to a slowdown of exports, notably those of petroleum products and semiconductors, the central bank said.

The services account surplus narrowed from March's $0.7 billion to $0.55 billion, as despite the improvement of the transport and the travel accounts the construction services account surplus decreased.
