Rockhopper Exploration plc's (RKH.L) full-year pre-tax loss narrowed to $53.78 million from $87.19 million loss last year. Loss per share for the year ended March 31, 2012 was 19.92 pence, narrower than 40.58 pence a year earlier.
Exploration and evaluation expenses for the period decreased $38.5 million from $85.7 million to $47.2 million. This was due, in the main, to a decrease in the impairment charge from $68.1 million to $26.4 million, the company added.
