Slovenia's consumer price inflation decelerated in May, after rising in the previous month, data released by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia showed Thursday.
Annual inflation slowed to 2.4 percent in May from 2.6 percent in April. In March, the rate of inflation was 2.3 percent.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages prices rose 4.3 percent annually, while clothing and footwear prices advanced 3 percent. There was a 3.7 percent annual growth in housing costs and utility prices during the month, and a 2.8 percent gain in transportation costs.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices moved up 0.6 percent in May, slower than 1.1 percent gain seen in the previous month.
