Two service members of NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed in separate incidents in southern Afghanistan.
One soldier died in an IED (improvised explosive device) attack on Thursday, while the other was killed in direct combat on Wednesday, ISAF said in separate press releases.
It did not reveal the nationality of the victims as per ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.
With this, the number of foreign troops killed in Afghanistan this year rose to 176.
