Dominic Monaghan, who played Charlie on the ABC series "Lost," asked fans to send him questions via Twitter over the weekend. One fan, Becca, requested that he encourage fellow "Lost" star Matthew Fox to join Twitter.
Monaghan's response, which may refer to Fox's assault of a bus driver last year, has caused a stir:
"He beats women. No thanks."
Becca persisted, "I Know It Was Wrong But What?! What About All Those Good Times You Had Together?!" But Monaghan maintained his stance:
"how do you know we ever did? you don't know either of us. he beats women. not isolated incidents. often. not interested."
In August 2011, Fox was detained by Ohio police after he, uninvited, attempted to board a party bus. A kerfuffle with the female bus driver ensued. Earlier this month he was arrested on DUI charges.
