Lauren Weisberger, who wrote the 2003 bestseller "The Devil Wears Prada," has begun working on the follow-up, "Revenge Wears Prada: the Devil Returns."

The first novel follows Andrea Sachs, a recent college grad who moves to New York City and becomes an assistant to a powerful fashion magazine editor. The job turns out to be more than she bargained for and she leaves on bad terms with her boss, Miranda.

The sequel picks up eight years later when Andrea has become the editor of a bridal magazine and a bride-to-be herself when the imperious Miranda re-enters her life.

"Revenge Wears Prada," distributed by Simon & Schuster, is due sometime in 2013. There has been no word yet on whether the written sequel is a harbinger of a filmed sequel.
