Encore Bancshares Inc. (EBTX: Quote) Thursday said the board of governors of the Federal Reserve System approved the application of Cadence Bancorp, LLC to acquire Encore through the merger of Encore with and into a wholly owned subsidiary of Cadence Bancorp, LLC.
