Tom Morello will headline the Get Out the Vote Rally at the Madison Labor Temple in Madison, Wisconsin on June 1. The event aims to raise awareness for the state's recall election on June 5.
Others performing at the event are Jackson Browne, Tim McIlrath of Rise Against, international touring hip-hop artist Brother Ali and Mike McColgan, the original lead singer of Dropkick Murphys and the lead singer of the Street Dogs.
Browne summed up the grievances of those involved with the recall effort on his official website:
"Working people across America watched aghast as Gov. Scott Walker struck down the right to collectively bargain for Wisconsin State employees. It's up to the people of Wisconsin to remove Walker from office, but the fight is an American fight, for a basic American right!"
