The Taiwanese manufacturing sector logged growth as production and new orders increased in May, Markit Economics said Friday.
The headline HSBC Purchasing Managers' Index posted 50.5 in May, a reading near stagnation.
Although production and new orders both rose for the fourth consecutive month, the rates of expansion eased to the weakest during this period.
Staffing levels dipped slightly during May, as manufacturers held off from raising capacity. Output prices and input costs both fell in May.
