WebMD Health Corp. (WBMD) has named Cavan Redmond as its new chief executive and as a board member, effective May 31, 2012. Redmond, with over 20 years of healthcare experience, joins WebMD from Pfizer Inc. (PFE), where he most recently served as Group President, Animal Health, Consumer Healthcare and Corporate Strategy and as a member of Pfizer's Executive Leadership Team.
Chief Financial Officer, Anthony Vuolo, who has also served as interim chief executive since January 2012 while the board conducted a search for a permanent CEO, would continue in the CFO position.
