Keri Hilson entertained Ghanaian fans at the Stand Up GH event during the country's International Conference Centre, where she performed the Azonto dance during her set.
The Azonto dance, which originated in Ghana, combines complex body movements with non-verbal shouting. Azonto dancers often mimic everyday bodily movements while exaggerating them for humorous effect.
According to SpyGhana.com, Keri Hilson was "said to have gone home with a whopping $70,000. Second headliner Bow Wow is believed to have parted with $45,000 to $50,000 . . . Some of the local artistes were paid $2,500."
Earlier this month, Hilson walked around New York City's Central Park in support of the 27th Annual AIDS Walk. Keri is the official celebrity ambassador for the Staying Alive Foundation, an awareness/fundraising organization.
