Beyoncé is all set to lend her voice to the character of Queen Tara in the 3D, CG-animated movie Epic. The singer will be featured alongside an already star-studded cast that includes Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Knoxville, Aziz Ansari, Pitbull, Jason Sudeikis and Steven Tyler.
Epic is being produced by 20th Century Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios, whose credits include Ice Age and Rio. The film hits theaters in May 2013.
Beyoncé's new gig comes barely six months after the 30-year-old gave birth to her first child, Blue Ivy, with rapper Jay-Z on January 7. She is also slated to star in Clint Eastwood's remake of A Star is Born.
