El Paso Electric Promotes Hector Puente To COO

El Paso Electric Co. (EE: Quote) said Friday that it has promoted Senior Vice President of Operations and Distribution, Hector Puente, to Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer.

In his new position, Puente will oversee power generation, transmission and distribution, system operations, power marketing, fuels and generation planning for El Paso Electric.

Puente, who has worked at El Paso Electric for more than 30 years, has served in various capacities, including Vice President of Transmission and Distribution, Vice President of Distribution Operations and Vice President of Generation, as well as other executive, management and engineering positions.
