Steven Tyler To Voice Animated Character In Epic

Steven Tyler has been cast to play an animated character in the upcoming animated film Epic. The American Idol judge will play the voice of Nim Galuu in the movie.

Tyler is one of many recognizable voices who has signed on to star in the film, including Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Knoxville, Aziz Ansari, Pitbull, and Jason Sudeikis.

Epic is being produced by 20th Century Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios, whose credits include Ice Age and Rio. The film will hits theaters in May 2013.

Tyler has previous acting experience in such film as Polar Express and Clubland, while also appearing as himself in Wayne's World 2, and Be Cool. He is also at work on a new Aerosmith album, titled Music From Another Dimension, which is due in September.
