Neil Young has released a 40 minute promo film on Monday, June 4, one day ahead of the release of his latest album with Crazy Horse, Americana.

The videos, three of which have been released already ("Clementine," "God Save the Queen" and "Oh Susannah"), are all part of the film.

The film, directed by Young's alter-ego, Bernard Sharkey, follows an author as he looks for the right illustrations for a book he is writing on American songs.

The illustrations shown in the film are by designer Shepard Fairey and will be available for viewing at Perry Rubinstein Gallery in Los Angeles for the next two months.

Young's latest LP contains 11 tracks of standard folk tunes rendered in the straight-forward rocking style of Crazy Horse.

The film, viewable in its entirety, is available at npr.org.
