Amanda Bynes Asks President Obama To Dismiss Her DUI Charges

Actress Amanda Bynes has reportedly attempted to involve president Barack Obama in her ongoing drunk driving case. The 26-year-old actress was charged with driving under the influence and quickly reached out to the president via Twitter asking him to intervene on her behalf.

The charges stem from an April incident in which Bynes allegedly drove into a parked police car. In a series of tweets, however, she says that she doesn't drink and therefore both the arrest and the charges are erroneous.

"I was not in any hit and runs. I don't drink so the DUI is false," Bynes claims in the tweet.

She went on to tweet at the president, saying: "Hey Barack Obama . . . I don't drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don't hit and run. The end."
