Jennifer Hudson recently performed a Whitney Houston medley at the Samsung Hope For Children Gala in New York City.
The singer's performance included a fusion of the songs "I'm Every Woman," "How Will I Know," and "I Wanna Dance With Somebody."
After Houston's death in February, Hudson performed her own rendition of "I Will Always Love You," at this year's Grammy Awards. After finishing her tribute, she closed saying, "Whitney, we love you." The day before this performance, Hudson became emotional at the rehearsal and was "crying and had to keep pausing," but for the performance, she kept her composure.
The former American Idol contestant released her sophomore effort, I Remember Me, on March 22, 2011. Notable singles from this album include, "Where You At?" and "No One Gonna Love You."
