Aussie Halts Recent Downtrend Ahead Of Trade Balance Report

Australia is set to release its trade balance report for April at 9:30 pm ET. The trade deficit is expected to have shrunk A$900 million in the month from A$1.59 billion deficit in March.

The Australian dollar halted its recent downtrend against its major rivals ahead of the report. As of 9:25 am ET, the aussie was trading at 0.9867 against the greenback, 1.2708 against the euro, 78.50 against the yen and 1.2906 against the NZ dollar.
