CalAmp Corp. (CAMP) said it now sees first-quarter revenue in the range of $43.5 million - $44 million, above the prior range of $38 million - $41 million. The company said the higher revenue is mainly due to increased demand in its Wireless Datacom segment. In addition, earnings per share for the first quarter are currently expected to be between $0.13 and $0.14 on a GAAP basis and $0.17 - $0.18 on a non-GAAP basis. These ranges are above the previously issued guidance of $0.07 - $0.11 on a GAAP basis and $0.10 - $0.14 on a non-GAAP basis.
These first quarter revenue and per share earnings estimates are preliminary and subject to completion of the company's normal quarterly closing process and the independent auditor's quarterly review procedures.
