Rumors have popped up in Hollywood that Angelina Jolie may be in talks to direct a screen adaptation of the steamy literary sensation "50 Shades of Grey." According to various sources, the rumor started purely as fan speculation, but has since gained some credence in Tinsel Town.
Universal and Focus Features snapped up the movie rights to the book, which was penned by E.L. James. The story started out as fan-fiction involving characters from the "Twilight" series but quickly amassed a huge following due in no small part to its explicit sex scenes. Thus far Universal is denying that they have spoken with Jolie about the project.
Thus far there has been no word from Jolie about the project either. According to collider.com the actress is currently focusing on her upcoming fantasy film "Maleficent" and is not accepting any new offers for films either in front of or behind the camera.
